1. What we collect

DayTag is a local-first anniversary / countdown app. The app does not upload any user data to a server and does not share it with any third party.

• Anniversaries, titles, notes and dates you create are stored only in the on-device SQLite database.
• There is no account system, no cloud sync, no built-in analytics, and no advertising SDK.
• We do not collect your name, email, location, contacts, or any personally identifiable information.

2. Device permissions

• Notifications: to deliver the anniversary / countdown reminders you set.
• Boot completed (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED): to re-schedule existing reminders after a device restart.
• Vibration: for reminder notification feedback.

3. Data storage and deletion

All data stays on your device. Uninstalling the app removes the local data. We hold no server-side data to export or delete.

3.1 Data backup (local export / import)

The in-app Settings provide a “Data backup” feature: you can export all your milestones to a local file (saved via the system share sheet to anywhere you choose, e.g. email, cloud drive, or local storage), or import and restore from a local file. The exported file is entirely under your control, always stays on your device, and is never uploaded to any server; we can never access its contents.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third party.
